It was clean, comfortable & our room was on the first floor (easier with luggage).
Dislikes:
We wish that we were told that there is a cat in the house. My husband is allergic to cats. The house was clean, so my husband did not have a very bad reaction.

I was visiting my sister who lives approx 10 mins away. We have stayed in the Barley Mow before and decided to book there again. The owners were very accommodating as we needed to stay 2 nights but there was only a room available for one night so they kindly put us in a room which was private to the family and not usually used as a guest room. The room was spotless. Breakfast hit the spot and cold not be faulted. Read less

We could come and go as we pleased and did not feel like we were being watched or had the need to sign in and out. We are a private family and it was nice not to be asked questions about our life.
Dislikes:
There was nothing we disliked about the hotel.

Had some trouble finding Barley Now House (tried looking on the internet for directions on my mobile phone but the signal was almost non existent). Eventually found the house and was greeted by my first name by the landlady ( sorry, didn't catch her name). I had the ground floor room overlooking a small garden with lily pond. Nice big room with ensuite bathroom, large walk-in wardrobe/storage area and loads of books. Breakfast good, big pot of tea Read less

Having to share a table with other guests at breakfast - that is purely a personal point of view and no reflection on the b&b owners or the other guests.

It is in a great location in the heart of the countryside approximately 10 miles from Shrewsbury. My room was en-suite, clean and tidy with a comfortable bed. There was a good selection for breakfast.
